Today's quick tip: Adjusting the default duration of an event in a break set
Break sets are preconfigured off-phone events that may be included in schedule templates.
For example, an 8-hour schedule template could have a break set with one (1) 30-minute lunch and two (2) 15-minute breaks. But what if something changes and now all lunch breaks must be one (1) hour?
Note: Changes to the break set will apply only to future schedules. Existing working and published schedules will maintain the duration applied when creating/publishing that schedule.
- Navigate to Settings > Schedule templates > Break sets.

- From the list of current break sets, click the name of the one you wish to adjust.

- Click the name of the interval in step 2.

- Use the drop-down menu to select the new duration.

- Adjust the Earliest start and Latest start of the other intervals as needed to compensate for the new duration.
- Save the new settings.
Any new working or published schedules using this break set will have the new duration for the event.

Linking a break set to a person via a schedule template
Break sets are attached to schedule templates not people. Schedule templates are applied to people.
To add a break set to a schedule template:
- Open the template (Settings > Schedule templates > Schedule templates > schedule template name).
- Select the Work times tile or navigation pane menu item.
- Select the break set assignment for each day and start time (if the same for each day, Copy to other days).
- Assign this template to the agent (Settings > People & agent templates > People > Personal profile > Scheduling setup for *agent name*).
