If an agent has enough accrued hours, they do not need to forfeit future planned time off in order to accept a waitlist item.
When a waitlist item becomes available, the agent will receive a notification that time is available and to visit their Time Off Worksheet to accept or decline the time.
If the agent has enough accrued hours to cover the requested time, they do not need to select future time to forfeit. They simply select Validate the waitlist item, and on the following screen check the box that they are willing to forfeit hours (even though none are selected), then click Accept the waitlist hours.

A few notes about waitlists
- Waitlists are available only in calendar partitions with brownout rules, and for full days.
- Waitlist is not available during bid rounds.
- If there is one day in a multi-day request that is not available for the waitlist (e.g., a blackout day), the waitlist option is not available.
- Waitlist is not available for all types of requests.
- There is no ranking in the waitlist – it’s first requested = first granted.
- When selecting to join a waitlist, the agent will see how many others are in line in front of them.
- To trigger the waitlist option the agent must select Yes, all the dates in the range must be approved together when making the request, even for a single day request.
- When waitlist hours become available, the agent will receive a memo that waitlist hours are available and will need to go to the Time Off Worksheet to accept or decline the hours.
- The agent needs to have available accrued hours or be willing to give up future time off requests to accept the waitlist offer.
