There are three places to change a password in CommunityWFM:
- The login page
- In a person's profile
- The Properties page
On the login page
This is a manual process where someone with a valid username who can't log in can send a message to an authorized application administrator requesting a new password. After creating a new password, the administrator shares the new password via the method designated by the center's accepted procedure (email, chat, pony express, etc.). After logging in, the user should change their password on the Properties page.
- On the login page, enter a valid User name then click Reset password.

- Select the authorized application administrator who will receive the password reset request.
- Click Request a new Password.

The selected application administrator receives a notification, creates a new password in the user's profile, then shares it with the user who should change their password after logging in.
In a profile
This must be completed by someone authorized to edit that person's passwords.
- Navigate to Settings > People & agent templates > People > Personal profile > Basic properties for...
- Select the User login credentials tab.

- Enter a new password or use the Generate password button.
- Enter the new password again.
- Click Save.
- Share the new password with the user following your center's guidelines. The user should change their password after logging in.
On the Properties page
- Navigate to Properties (not a sub-menu page).

- Scroll down and click the blue arrow to expand the Agent Login Properties section.

The password is the only editable field on this page. - Enter a new password then enter it again.
- Click Update Password.

Extra credit
How do I find/change the requirement for passwords?
Navigate to Settings > Application settings > Global settings & preferences and scroll down to Password Requirements.
- Options for minimum password length include 8, 10, 12, or 15 characters.
- Strong passwords require a capital letter, a number, and a special character. Simple passwords only need to meet the password length requirement.

The new requirements will apply the next time someone updates or creates a new password.
