Today's quick tip: What is a droppable schedule?
When assigning a schedule template to an agent, there is a checkbox asking whether a scheduled day may be dropped (not included in the schedule) if the forecasted volume does not warrant assigning the agent. When checked, this tells CommunityWFM that it's OK to forego giving this agent an assignment for the day. Even if checked, if the forecast indicates a demand the schedule won't be dropped (see extra credit below).
Note: Only full shifts are dropped, not hours.
For example: An agent has a schedule template for Monday–Friday, 9-hour shift each day, but based on the forecast for the week the system determines that the agent is not needed on Wednesday. With droppable schedules, the agent will not receive a schedule for Wednesday and will only have 4 scheduled days that week.

How do I tell CommunityWFM how many schedules to drop?
In a working schedule > Generate optimized schedule > Generate schedule there is a slider asking How would you like to set your schedule bias? This slider tells the system whether to lean toward minimizing staffing costs by dropping schedules if the forecast does not require coverage for a day, or lean toward maximizing coverage by making sure every interval meets service level, even if that means overstaffing for some intervals.
This slider only applies if the schedule templates have checks for the box This schedule assignment may be dropped if volume does not require this agent..
The number in the slider (0–20) does not indicate the number of schedules that will be dropped. It's simply a range indicator.
Minimize staffing cost: Will drop more schedules based on the forecast.
Maximum coverage: Some overstaffing is OK in order to meet service level for every interval during the day.
