How to determine your designated time off rule - legacy rules or calendar partition rules.
First, determine the rule applied to you by your administrator– legacy or calendar partition.
Navigate to Plan, then click Time off Worksheet.
Under Time Off Settings, in the General time off settings tile, click Review basic settings.
The top menu item lists your source of time off rules – PTO Calendar Partition Rules or Legacy AutoApprove Rules. You cannot edit this field.
This window also notes whether you are under a hire date delay for requesting time off.
Legacy AutoApprove
If you are under Legacy AutoApprove rules, you may select Request Planned time off or Request a recurring time off event from the navigation pane, or navigate to Plan and click Time Off Requests. From here you can request planned time off or a recurring time off event.
Calendar Partition
If you are under PTO Calendar Partition rules, next determine if there is a PTO Calendar in place for the date of your request.
In the navigation pane, click Calendar Partitions.
You will see a tile for each calendar including start and end dates and your rank, which is used for vacation bidding.
If you don’t see a calendar in place for the dates you wish to request, contact your WFM administrator. You will not be able to request time off outside the bounds of a PTO calendar partition.
You may use the same links in the navigation pane as those with legacy time off rules, however, the calendar partition may provide additional information about the dates you wish to request.
Click on a calendar partition tile, then click Available time off in the navigation pane or in the PTO Classification Summary tile.
After loading, this calendar will display available dates, included special dates, and any previously requested time off. Clicking on a day will open a pop-up that includes the likelihood of receiving the day if requested.
Under the calendar are links to request planned time off or recurring time off events.
