Hot news is like the scrolling text at the bottom of TV news. The text stream can—
- have multiple messages,
- be configured to show at the Enterprise or Activity level,
- be sent to a supervisor group,
- be sent to a custom user group.
If you move your cursor into the text, the scroll will stop.
Step-by-step:
- In the Today’s Hot News banner, click the pencil (edit) icon.
- Select the group who will see the message.
- Select Click here to create a new message.
- Type your message text and Save.
- Return to the homepage to view the new scrolling message in Today’s Hot News.
Reminder: people must be viewing their homepage to see the scrolling message.
To delete a hot news item, return to the list of messages then click the Delete button on the right.
