There may be times when you need to unpublish then re-publish a schedule.
Examples include:
- Adding a large group of new hires to a week with a published schedule.
- You accidentally published only one activity and need to publish a schedule for the whole site.
- You need to make more changes than is practical with individual edits.
What happens when you try to republish the schedule? Do you see an error and can't proceed?
This occurs when there is already a published schedule for the week. It also occurs when agents with shared activities are included in the new schedule, and there's already a published schedule for one or more of the activities.
If there is a published schedule for the week, you must first unpublish that schedule, then make the changes to the working schedule and when it’s ready, republish the schedule.
If you are trying to publish your schedule and see the following screen with the Error column showing a red circle/slash, there is already a published schedule for the activity.
To unpublish a schedule
1. Go to > Schedule > Published schedule > expand Utility Schedule Reports in the navigation pane > and select Published schedule audit report. This opens a report showing all of the published schedules.
2. Locate the schedule week. Schedules are sorted by date in descending order. This is also a good place to check to see if there is already a published schedule for the week, and what activities are included.
3. Click Unpublish.
Once unpublished you can make edits to the working schedule then republish it when you're ready.
